Degrassi lives again and it's getting a new name. Yes, the long-running series announced it was ending its 14-season run on TeenNick, but Netflix came to the rescue, once again.

Netflix and Canada's Family Channel will air 20 new episodes of Degrassi: Next Class set to start in 2016. "Following an unprecedented and incredibly supportive 14-year relationship with Bell Media on Degrassi: The Next Generation, we are looking forward to reaching a fresh new audience with Degrassi: Next Class. We are energized and excited to work with Family Channel as we tell stories for the new post-millennial teen cohort known as Generation Z, most of whom weren't even born when Degrassi returned in 2001." Linda Schuyler, Degrassi co-creator and executive producer, said in a statement.

Netflix took to Twitter to ignite the fans, tweeting the above image with the caption: "Degrassi graduates to Netflix. Meet the Next Class, coming in 2016."

Returning to the cast for Next Class is...Amanda Arcuri, Reiya Downs, Ana Golja, Nikki Gould, Ricardo Hoyos, Ehren Kassam, Andre Kim, Lyle Lettau, Spencer Macpherson, Eric Osborne, Olivia Scriven, Sara Waisglass and Richard Walters.

Degrassi began airing in 1979 and went through many iterations, from The Kids on Degrassi Street to Degrassi Junior High, Degrassi High and Degrassi: The Next Generation.
