Police confirmed to E! News that they received a call at 3:15 p.m. on Friday, May 29 from a staff member at the Arora International Hotel in Crawley, England reporting a guest had caused an estimated £1,200 of damage (approximately $1834) to a hotel room.
"We have been given the name of a suspect - a 24-year-old man from the USA - and we are currently working with other agencies to try to trace him so he can be interviewed," police told E! News.
According to the U.K.'s Mirror, staff called police after discovering shattered glass and a TV set ripped off the wall in the luxury hotel room.
Haze has yet to directly respond to the allegations, but he did post an Instagram pic on Monday which seems to be aimed at the various reports. "Never be afraid to say f--k you," the celebrity offspring shared, snapping a pic of a Post-It note with the caption, "From the offices of my lawyer... Words to live by."
In November 2014, Chet took to Instagram to reveal his past struggles with substance abuse, telling fans he's now sober. "I've been struggling with substance abuse since I was 16 years old. Finally at the age of 24 I decided to get some help," he wrote. "With 50 days of sobriety under my belt, I can honestly say I'm the happiest I've ever been. I'm thankful for my family and everybody that cares about me, including my fans. I've been blessed with the programs of AA and NA which allow me to rise above this disease. I'm learning to accept my faults and be ok with being human. If anybody that sees this struggles with addiction, feel free to reach out. Thank you all for the love and support! GOD IS REAL!!!"
Last week, the budding rapper found himself at the center of controversy once again when he defended his use of the N-word on Instagram.
"I am a walking PR disaster and I could literally give a f--k less!!!!! People stay telling to chill!!! You're Tom Hanks son!!! Don't be an embarrassment!!! Well guess what… it's my own choice not to give a f--k if my own parents can't motivate me to bite my tongue what the f--k makes you think that you can?" Haze wrote on Twitter back in March.
Chet is Tom's oldest son with wife Rita Wilson. The two are also parents to 19-year-old Truman Hanks. Additionally, the Saving Mr. Banks actor has two other children, actor Colin Hanks and Elizabeth Ann Hanks, from his first marriage.
