Chris Pratt knows something Zoe Saldana doesn't.

After Saldana presented Guy of the Year to her Guardians of the Galaxy co-star during the Spike TV Guys' Choice Awards Saturday, she spoke to MTV's Josh Horowitz backstage. During their chat, Pratt popped by to say hello and a little drama ensued. "I just realized I was wearing green," Saldana told him.

"So Gamora!" he joked, referring to her character.

"How tacky is that?" Saldana asked. "But it's Dolce, though."

"Dude, it's Dolce! It's not tacky," Pratt said. "It looks amazing."

"I'm just happy I fit in it," the new mom said. "I'm like, 'Oh, my God! Yes!'"

"I can't believe it," Pratt said. "You look so [incredible]."

Horowitz then asked Saldana to explain why Pratt was "so deserving" of being named Guy of the Year. "I'll start! I'll start!" Pratt said. "No, just kidding. Go ahead, Zoe! Tell 'em everything they need to know."

"He's a talented actor. He's been having a couple of great moments here and there on the big screen—not gonna lie—so it's only fair for investors to invest in him," the actress explained. "He deserves it. You put in your time, your energy, your jokes for many, many years, and now you're reaping those benefits."

Pratt appeared emotional, so Horowitz asked, "Are you gonna cry?"

"Here's the thing that is kind of amazing and a weird tidbit about this weird life that we're living: We don't get to see one another," Pratt said of seeing Saldana. "Our paths are forced to cross at moments like this, but otherwise we maintain a level of business. That's all going to die down at some point, but we haven't been able to see one another for a really long time...Here is where we have our reunion."

Saldana then joked, "You got taller!"

"Am I taller?" Pratt asked. "You're used to your Gamora heels!"

The conversation took a turn when Horowitz mentioned the Guardians of the Galaxy sequel, which will being production this year.  "This guy's read the latest draft of Guardians," he told Saldana. "Have you?"

Saldana appeared genuinely shocked, but Pratt assured her, "I haven't read the latest draft!" Horowitz added fuel to the fire, saying, "That's what you told me the other day." Saldana sided with the host, saying, "You're lying! He showed it to you."

"I swear to God! No!" Pratt said. "I haven't read the latest draft."

"Let me get my phone," Saldana said. "I'm calling James Gunn right now."

Once again, Pratt insisted, "I swear to God I haven't read it."

Saldana looked him in the eye and said, "You bastard." Pratt reiterated, "I have not read it! There's this thing going around about how I cried after reading the draft. The truth is I cried just hearing the pitch."

"Oh, so you heard the pitch," Saldana said. "Is my part bigger?"

"Your part is great," Pratt told her. "We're both completely instrumental."

Guardians of the Galaxy is scheduled to arrive in theaters on May 5, 2017.

The Spike TV Guys' Choice Awards airs Jun 18 at 9 p.m. ET.
