A Guy Decided to Propose to His Girlfriend in a McDonalds Drive-Thru and It Went Exactly As Expected

His heart was in the right place, but this poor guy made a big mistake using a chicken sandwich as a ring carrier

The sentiment? Totally sweet. The execution? Brutal.

This guy decided it was a good idea to propose to his girlfriend in the drive-thru of the same McDonald's that the two ended up at on their very first date two years ago. And bless his heart, he uploaded the attempt to YouTube.

"She joked for months about how 10 years down the road I would probably propose to her in a chicken nugget box so I thought she would love when I surprised her this way," he wrote in the video description.

Ugh, don't you want to just pat him on the head gently and say "Shhhh, there, there"? His heart is absolutely in the right place, but that place happens to be a fast food joint so…

First the girl starts laughing when she sees the ring, almost maniacally, like "my boyfriend is proposing to me with a chicken sandwich, so I must be losing my mind because no way would that actually happen!"

And then reality sets in.

"This is not what you do," she insists, crying. "You gave me this?! I can't marry you."

To be fair, she probably does want to marry him eventually. She just doesn't want to start her married life in a McDonald's drive-thru.

"She didn't love it like the way I thought she would. We agreed to wait longer until it's time to get engaged," he explained.
