Who says boys can't rock long hair?

Despite facing bullying from peers, Christian McPhilamy, an 8-year-old boy from Florida, grew out his hair for two and a half years, according to Today.

Christian said that bullies "would call me a girl." His mother added, "And he would just explain to them. He held his head high and he never once said that he wanted to cut it off ever."

And you might wonder, why would a little boy subject himself to such terrible bullying? For charity, of course.

He was determined to grow out his locks in order to donate them to the charity Children With Hair Loss—an organization that collects hair donations for young cancer patients.

His mother is extremeley supportive, posting on Facebook, "I am so very proud of my son! He has done a beautiful thing. He amazes me everyday with the little to the big."

According to Fox2News, "1 in 50 donations to the organization come from boys to make wigs for children who have lost their hair."

Hopefully kids like Christian will inspire boys and men to feel more comfortable expressing themselves physically in which ever way they feel most comfortable in.
