17 TV Shows That Should Have Gotten Movies Before Entourage

If the small screen is heading to the big screen, there's a few other shows we want to see become big blockbuster movies!

Vincent Chase is back. That's, you know...fine and all, but let's be honest: Entourage was hardly top of our list when it came to TV shows we desperately wanted to see get movies.

Can we just talk about the likes of Pushing Daisies? Alias? Friday Night Lights? Lost? Freaks and Geeks?

Well, we're gonna.

There are 17 other shows (at least), and here we are officially putting this plea once again out into the universe....And maybe some of them will happen?

Paul Drinkwater/NBC

1. Friday Night Lights: FNL started off as a movie before Kyle Chandler and Connie Britton made it into the iconic TV show so we already know it works on the big screen. And even though the series finale gave this show a supremely satisfying ending, we will never feel complete with our more Coach and Mrs. Coach in our lives. Boss Jason Katims had said it will never happen, but we are basically slapping on the biggest earmuffs of denial every time he speaks.

The WB

2. Gilmore Girls: What were Amy Sherman-Palladino's original final words for the end of the show?! We just want to know in any form possible, including a movie. We also want to see Luke and Lorelai finally tie the knot, so you can bet we'll be waiting (not so) patiently for any big news from the show's reunion panel at the ATX TV Festival this weekend…

ABC/ADAM TAYLOR

3. Pushing Daisies: This adorably morbid, romantic and  swoon-inducing series was canceled abruptly after just two seasons, and we STILL aren't over it. Chuck revealed to her aunts that she was alive, and in theory she and Ned went on to live a happy non-touching life together, but that's just not enough for us. There was too much story left to tell, and we need more.

DreamWorks Television

4. Freaks and Geeks: One season was absolutely not enough of this genius show that featured Linda Cardellini, Jason Segel, James Franco, Busy Phillips, and John Francis Daley, that so many fans (sadly) discovered after it was already gone. And while maybe it would be hard to get that cast to commit to a rebooted series, a movie is more than doable, right?

ABC

5. Alias: JJ Abrams has said it probably won't happy, but you guys...SPY DADDY WANTS IN. Does Spy Daddy ever not get what he wants? 'Cause we're pretty sure there's a rule in the universe about Victor Garber laying the law for everything, everywhere. Or anyway, that's how it should be. What are Sydney and Vaughn up to? Are their kids now spies, too? Did Will (Bradley Cooper) ever reappear after vanishing into thin air? We need answers.

ABC

6. Lost: Excutive producer Damon Lindelof has said that there will probably not ever be any more Lost, but damnit, Lost is and forever will be our "Constant" when it comes to TV shows. That pic of there of Desmond calling Penny? We can't look at it without sobbing. And we just can't shake the feeling that WE HAVE TO GO BACK. ...Someday?

7. Veronica Mars: The Sequel: Yes, another one. Too greedy? We. Don't. Care.

ABC/BOB D'AMICO

8. Happy Endings: We're still mad about the show's big April Fool's joke about possibly returning, but that doesn't mean we still don't want to see these zany friends back together for more hilarious hijinks. They basically owe us after that lame "joke."

HBO

9. The Comeback: If HBO can do it with Entourage, then why not Lisa Kudrow's smart but underrated comedy—which was originally paired with Vincent Chase and the gang? The fanbase is clearly there—after nine years, the show came back for a successful second season! And we'd also like to see Jane's (Laura Silverman) documentary, The Assassination of Valerie Cherish. Jane? Jane? Give us another take!

NBC

10. Chuck: Did Sarah get her memory back???! We assume that magical kiss actually worked k, but we need to know for absolute certain. We'd like to suggest a sort of Spy Kids-esque movie featuring Sarah and Chuck's kids, and we will accept a story credit or even a "special thanks to," thank you very much.

Starz

11. Party Down: Cater waitering has never looked so good. Adam Scott, Lizzy Caplan and the rest of Rob Thomas' stellar cast brought this Starz dramedy from hilarious to downright peeing-in-your-pants funny in the two short seasons it was on the air. We need to find out if Henry got back into acting and what happened with Casey!

Yahoo

12. Community: It has now been six seasons thanks to Yahoo saving this fan-favorite comedy from cancelation...the only thing left to do to complete the hashtag is a movie. Hey Dan Harmon, are you up for writing a movie script? Because we'll buy all the Subway sandwiches in the world to help you fund it.

The WB

13. Angel: Buffy the Vampire Slayer's spinoff ended with a series finale that was so epic, we're pretty sure nothing can ever come close. But that cliffhanger, with Angel and his crew facing a whole army of evil, left us wanting so much more. Can you imagine a big-screen battle between the forces of good and evil? We can, and now we need to see it happen. Now.

14. Psych: Come on, son! A Psych movie is pretty much all we've ever wanted (since it ended a year ago) and creator Steve Franks told us that if a movie could get funding, he would start working on it "this afternoon." Guess we'll just have to wait for iiiiiiiit….

ABC

15. Revenge: If we can't get a full-fledged TV show spinoff about Nolan's new mission to get revenge for those who have been wronged, then we'll settle for one movie. Just think of the possibilities... (And maybe include a scene where it's confirmed Amanda doesn't have Victoria's heart? That would help with our own nightmares.)

ABC/Bob D'Amico

16. Forever: This show was canceled too soon, and while it ended with Henry about to reveal his secret to Jo, we were denied the treat of seeing her reaction and watching their relationship move forward from there. A Forever movie would make us happy, but more important, it would make Ioan Gruffudd very happy, and who doesn't want to see that?

Quantrell Colbert/NBC

17. Constantine: Rumors of NBC's comic book show being shopped around at other networks have largely been just that: rumors. Alas, this dark and edgy DC Comics series only lasted one season, and that's just not enough. There was so much story left to tell, so much mythology left to explore! And Matt Ryan on the big screen? Yes please and thank you.
