That's right, Tina Simpson is engaged to boyfriend Jon Goldstein, E! News can confirm. Per Us Weekly, who was first to report Tina's happy news, the couple have been dating for two years and a rep says they "are thrilled and completely in love!"
Jon is the owner of Johnny Appleseed Landscaping, a high-end company whose clientele includes both Simpson sisters, Tom Hanks, Mark Wahlberg and the Bel-Air hotel. "He's a really nice guy," one of his friends said. "He's always cared about Tina…He's known them for 15 years and has been a part of their family. He's so happy she said yes! I know he had been planning on asking her for a while."
Jessica and Ashlee approve of their future step-dad, too! As a source tells Us Weekly, "They're happy that their mom is happy."
This will be the second marriage for Tina, who was married to Jessica and Ashlee's father Joe Simpson for 34 years. When Tina filed for divorce in 2012, a rep told E! News it was "an amicable split and there is no third party involved." The divorce was finalized in 2013.
In addition to their two daughters, Tina and Joe have three grandchildren and another on the way. Jessica's daughter Maxwell is 3 and her son Ace is 11 months old. Ashlee has a 6-year-old son, Bronx, with ex-husband Pete Wentz, and she and hubby Evan Ross are expecting a baby girl.
The Simpsons certainly have a lot to celebrate these days!
