The 50-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star is back in rehab, two sources confirm to E! News, the news coming less than two weeks after Richards attended daughter Brooke Brinson's wedding in Mexico.
"She's doing ok, a lot better than she had been," a source tells E! News of the Bravo reality star.
We're told Kim has been in a treatment center for a few days, and the facility is different from the one she initially checked herself into following her arrest at the Beverly Hills Hotel in April (Richards was later charged with one count of public intoxication, one count of resisting, obstructing, delaying a peace officer or EMT, and one count of battery upon a peace officer).
After her arrest, Richards sat down for a revealing interview with Dr. Phil to discuss her sobriety, which was a main plot point during season five of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
"I'm a very strong person and I have been sober. I haven't been working a program," she told the daytime talk show host, choking back tears. "Living through a season on a show, sometimes it's hard to just get through it. The fans are really hard on me."
In spite of her sobriety struggles, Richards later stormed out the sit-down, during which three of her children were present, when she believed they were holding an intervention. Days later, she checked herself into rehab.
"Kim went to rehab finally because she got arrested, she humiliated her kids and she wants to avoid jail," a source told People at the time.
While the days leading up to Kim's latest rehab stay are still unclear, Richards close friend and co-star Brandi Glanville recently admitted that she has yet to speak to Kim since the wedding.
"We talked before she left and she was in a good place. I've texted her since she's been gone. I haven't heard back, and I'm just praying for her," Glanville said on a recent episode of her podcast. "She's not returning my texts and she always gets back to me."
She added that her "thoughts and prayers are with her and her family. I don't want anything bad to happen to her because she's got a really good heart at the end of the day."
