Pharrell Williams had no idea he would be receiving more than the Fashion Icon Award during Monday's CFDAs!

Longtime friend Kanye West surprised the "Happy" singer—and the crowd—by presenting the award to him. Although his speech was pretty Kanye, he actually had some really great things to say about his fashion-savvy pal. A designer himself, Kanye thanked Pharrell for guiding him through his new endeavor.

"Fashion had to be the hardest high school I ever went to, but at least I had a big brother," Kanye said.

As for why Kanye presented the coveted award? He explained it best when he said, "Pharrell has always been my style idol."

He continued to dole out some classic Kanye-isms, and even made light of his well-known bad attitude when it comes to some aspects of fame. Referencing the recurring sketch, "Obama's Anger Translator," from Key & Peele, the Yeezus rapper joked that he was the "Angry Pharrell."

But he took a more serious turn when he brought up his late mom, Donda West, and said because she was an English teacher he probably should've been using a better adjective to describe his "idol."

Kanye, Kim Kardashian, Pharrell and wife Helen Lasichanh posed together for an epic group shot, proving that their friends are definitely cooler than your friends. Anybody else getting a "You can't sit with us" vibe? Even though the night was about Pharrell, we can't forget that it was Kim and Kanye's first night out since announcing their pregnancy!

Kim showed off her barely there baby bump in a sheer Proenza Schouler gown while Kanye donned an all-black ensemble...naturally. Even though they just revealed the news, Kim dished to E! News that she has known for a while but didn't want to say anything until she was in the clear.

"We've known so early on. It was really hard and we wanted to make sure everything goes right first," Kim added, also noting that they've shared the baby news with daughter North West, but she doesn't exactly get what's going on yet.

"North doesn't understand yet," the brunette beauty said, explaining that she's been telling Nori there's a baby in her belly.
