Wedding bells are ringing for Nastia Liukin and Matt Lombardi

The 25-year-old Olympic gold medalist and the Venture Up founder are engaged, the gymnast announced on Twitter today.

"Matt proposed in Boston last night with a beautiful ring he designed himself," Liukin tells E! News. "He told me we were going to celebrate together and to my surprise my parents, best friend and his family and best friend were waiting there to celebrate with us. We are both so excited for our future together."

"So this just happened... @matt_lombari," the blond beauty captioned a photo of her stunning engagement sparkler, which was perfectly complemented by her pretty pink manicure.

Morgan Shara of MASbisjoux jewelry tells E! News, "Nastia's ring appears to be a very beautiful and classic design featuring a cushion brilliant diamond of approximately 4 carats framed by a halo of pavé diamonds on a presumably platinum band, also drenched in diamonds. This six-figure sparkler will no doubt dazzle on the finger of this incredible American Olympic super star."

Nice work, Lombardi!

Last month, the Russian-American athlete opened up about her now-fiancé while competing on Dancing With the Stars and admitted that she and her man, who were previously in a long distance relationship, always make time for each other.

"I'm actually in a long-distance relationship, so he lives in Boston and he comes out to L.A. every few weeks when he can," Liukin told E! News last month

"Something my dad actually taught me when I was 15 or 16 was you'll make time for whatever and whoever is important to you," she added. "Even before I met him I was like, 'There's absolutely no way, I have no time to date!' But I think when you find someone you love, you make time for them."

Although Liukin didn't take home the Mirrorball Trophy (she was eliminated during the semi-finals following partner Derek Hough's injury), the Olympian said her dancing partner "taught me to just live in the moment and really enjoy the journey."

Sounds like great advice for both on and off the stage.

Congratulations, you two!
