Everyone's favorite friendly exes are getting back together—kinda!

Mindy Kaling and B.J. Novak have confirmed that they've signed a deal with Penguin Random House to write a book together.

So what can we expect from this hilarious duo? A provocative peek inside their romantic relationship, perhaps? What about a little he-said-she-said tale? Maybe a relationship advice book, so we can all learn how to stay friends with our exes, too (if we want to, of course).

Well, unfortunately it is too early in the development stages to know the plot of their creation just yet. Even the two stars aren't sure what the book will be about, but they have ruled out one topic, and Kaling let her curious 4.3 million Twitter followers in on that tidbit:

This is not the first time these two have worked together. They have teamed up before as writers, producers and co-stars on The Office and The Mindy Project, and over the weekend, Novak interviewed Kaling at BookCon in New York where she was busy promoting her second book, Why Not Me?

Recently, Kaling had a very complex response when asked about her relationship with her former boyfriend.

"I will freely admit: My relationship with B.J. Novak is weird as hell," said Kaling, who is featured on the cover of the InStyle June 2015 issue.

"He is not my boyfriend, but he is not my best friend," she added. "I guess you could describe our relationship as a 'romantically charged camaraderie with loud arguments,' but I don't think Facebook would accept this as a new status."

Meanwhile, when asked about his relationship with Kaling during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live in 2014, Novak said, "We fought a lot. We were each other's best friends. We were inseparable and not talking to each other, often on the same day.

"And people didn't know, if she was gone, they would ask me where she was, and vice versa. We were like E.T. and Elliott a little bit."
