North West has guided Kim Kardashian in a new direction.

From the moment she became a mother in June 2013, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star's life was forever changed. As she awaits the arrival of her second child with Kanye West, as she announced in a teaser for the second half of her hit show, E! News explores seven lessons Kardashian learned from motherhood.

1. Official Blog, May 2014

"I never knew how much being a mom would change me. It's amazing how one little person and the love I have for her has brought new meaning to every moment. What once seemed so important, now feels insignificant. It's like I get to see the world for the first time again, but through someone else's eyes. It's a beautiful thing to feel and experience so much more, but with that beauty comes a flip side—seeing through my daughter's eyes the side of life that isn't always so pretty...I feel a responsibility as a mother, a public figure, a human being, to do what I can to make sure that not only my child, but all children, don't have to grow up in a world where they are judged by the color of their skin, or their gender, or their sexual orientation. I want my daughter growing up in a world where love for one another is the most important thing."

2. Romy and the Bunnies, July 2014

"It is an adjustment trying to balance a career and motherhood for sure, but the key is to prioritize. You become more selective and work on projects that are so meaningful because you want every other waking moment spent with your family. You have to remember, though, to make time for yourself. If you feel good, you will be happy in your career and family life and everyone is happy!"

3. Closing Bell, July 2014
"My mom kind of taught us girls we could have it all. She works hard. She taught us if you work hard, it's just all about prioritizing."4. E! News, August 2014

4. E! News, August 2014

"You definitely have to make time for your husband. Once you have a baby, it's like you have two babies automatically, because you have to schedule time equally for both—or maybe not in the beginning equally. You have to make definite time. And I think that's the key to having a strong relationship and a strong foundation. Even if the baby was sleeping, we would put her in a little Moses basket and watch a movie and have her there sleeping next to us. We have our movie time. You really have to prioritize and make sure that you make time for everyone."

5. Es. Magazine, October 2014
"We didn't get anything [from her parents]. We had to get a job if we wanted it. So I was working in a clothing store and I would save and save. I was saying that earlier to my friends: 'I wonder what [North's] first job is gonna be.' And they were like, 'What? She's gonna have a job?' and I was like, 'Are you kidding me? Of course she is.' She will have to work for what she wants."

6. Vogue Australia, January 2015

"Since I've become a mom I've figured out how to prioritize [my career] the best that I ever have. It's definitely harder but you figure it out. I think the biggest misconception about me is probably that I don't work hard and everything comes easy. I like to prove people wrong and just live my life and do what I do and work hard and I'm proud of that...I'm gonna teach my daughter to be really strong."

7. Harper's Bazaar, April 2015
"I used to love to wear makeup all the time, and I still do, but at home, you can't really kiss and snuggle and do everything you want to do...No matter what I'm wearing, even if it's something really nice and put together, it's just all bets go out the door when you're with your baby because anything could be spilled on you. And you just don't care, where I would've cared before I had my own children. Like if my nephew just came in and spilled something all over my couch, I would've been like, 'Wait, [Kourtney Kardashian]! Hello? What are you doing? Clean this up.' And now I'm like, 'I get it. I get it.' All moms have a past."
