Chris Jackson/Getty ImagesPrince William spoke about two things he can't get enough of in his first broadcast interview since the birth of his daughter, Princess Charlotte—soccer and Prince George.
The Duke of Cambridge, who is an avid supporter of Aston Villa, opened up to Gary Lineker for the FA Cup Final on the BBC about whether the world can expect to see both father and son attending a game anytime in the near future.
"I don't know," he replied hesitantly. "I'll have to pass that by the missus, see how I can get away with it. At the moment, being on 22 months, it's a little bit early."
William also mentioned that while he'd love it if George ended up rooting for the same team as him, he wants him to "make his own mind up" about which team he'll support.
"Of course he can support whoever he wants, but if he supports Villa, it'd be fantastic," the proud royal added. "I'd love to go to the odd match with him in the future."
William continued, "It'll probably end up being that Charlotte is the Villa fan, and George will go and support someone else."
Of course, it'll be a little while until we have any chance of seeing the royal family spending a day at a game, as little Charlotte isn't even one month old yet!
Kate Middleton gave birth to her second child on May 2 at St. Mary's Hospital in London.
Shortly after the exciting arrival, Kensington Palace released the following formal statement: "Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a daughter at 8:34 a.m."
And after posing for photos on the steps of the Lindo Wing, the family of four headed back to their home for some quality private time.
