Count Kelly Ripa among the bevy of celebs who've jumped on the cleansing bandwagon.
The 44-year-old beauty revealed this morning on Live! With Kelly and Michael that she's been working with new chiropractor and nutritionist, who recently revamped her diet.
"I've been working with this guy. His name is Dr. Darryl Geoffrey, and he is a chiropractor, but also a nutritionist, and he put me on this cleanse. It's an antacid, like high-alkaline cleanse, and it has changed my life," the television personality revealed.
Earlier in the show, Ripa shared how she has been "going through physical therapy" to try and heal her "strange injuries"—and believes her new diet may be the answer to her ailments.
"I've been given the all clear," the mother of three said before clarifying, "Well, I'm not healed, but I am not in pain anymore. So that's good."
So, what exactly does her new diet entail?
"It's a very manageable cleanse. It's very manageable," she insisted. "You're not hungry. It's not like people go, 'What are you eating? You're just drinking, you know, a green juice a day?' No, it's not like that. You eat. I actually eat much more on this cleanse than I do in my actual life, but it's what you eat and how you eat it."
She added: "Yes, it has changed my life. It's changed the whole way I think about food. I'm still drinking coffee, even though I lied and told him I wasn't."
According to Dr. Geoffrey's website, the chiropractor owns a wellness center on Manhattan's Upper Eastside.
"Living and working in the city can be stressful," he says on the cite. "I'm a Manhattan chiropractor who listens and understands the unique challenges we face. And it all starts by balancing your nervous system and restoring better health with today's safe and natural chiropractic care."
