Dwayne Johnson may hold a world record for taking selfies, but he insists he's not taking a page from Kim Kardashian and publishing a book of his many pics.

"No, no, no," The Rock told me last night at the premiere of his new action disaster film San Andreas (in theaters on May 29). "Here's the thing, you don't need a book when you're in The Guinness Book of World Records. That's the thing—I have a the record."

The wrestler-turned-actor is talking about earning the Guinness World Records title of the most self-portrait photographs taken in three minutes. He achieved the milestone on Thursday when he captured 105 selfies on the red carpet at the London premiere of San Andreas.

"We just set a NEW GUINNESS WORLD RECORD for most self-portraits (selfies) taken in record time (yup, a selfie world record exists and your arm gets a helluva workout)," he wrote on Instagram. "WORLD PREMIERE of SAN ANDREAS and rewriting the record books all in one night. #MicDropBoom #NewSelfieKing #LONDON #SanAndreasWorldTour MAY 29th."

Johnson says he's also not trying to knock Kardashian off her throne. "She can't be king. She's the selfie queen," he said.

The E! reality star published Selfish, a coffee table book of hundreds of selfies, earlier this month.

"The pictures in this book bring back so many memories," she writes in the book. "Spanning almost a decade, they are only a small fraction of the thousands of selfies we considered for publication. From digital cameras, polaroids to Blackberries and smart phones, these photo documents the evolution of my selfies. And as I printed them out and laid them on the floor to make a final edit, I reflected on my very public journey as a daughter, sister, friend, wife and mother, this book is a candid tribute to all of my fans, who were with me the entire time."
