Nick Cannon is keeping people on their toes regarding his relationship status.

Although he was said to be dating model Jessica White, the America's Got Talent host might be single! He took to Instagram Tuesday night to post some pretty cryptic quotes, all of which lead us to believe that he's ridin' solo these days.

"If you were wondering..." he captioned the photo of a quote regarding what it means to be single. The full message reads, "Being single doesn't mean that you know nothing about love. Sometimes, being solo is wiser than being in a false relationship."

Whoa.

Did he and White have a falling out or is he just defending us lonely souls? Regardless, it didn't stop there. He posted another quote having to do with people who are mature versus immature. "Immature people always want to win arguments even at the cost of a relationship," it began. "Mature ones prefer losing an argument just to uphold a golden relationship."

What does this all mean?!

Whether or not he and White are smooth sailing or on the rocks, there's one thing that is for sure: He still has a lot of love for ex-wife Mariah Carey. "It's one of those things, I'm a hopeless romantic too," Cannon told Meredith Vieira on her talk show.

"Through this learning process, you never say never," he added. "To me one thing I know, that will always be the love of my life, always be my family and that's never going to change."

He and Carey reunite often enough for the sake of "dem babies," most recently celebrating Easter together. Cannon told E! News that it was a great time for everyone.

"It was amazing, man," he gushed. "That's what people do, they spend time with their families."

The former couple shared a cute Easter pic of them playing with their twins Moroccan and Monroe. "It's a beautiful thing. That's what holidays are all about is spending time with family and your loved ones. So it was a good time," he said.
