Things are not heating up between Giada De Laurentiis and Bobby Flay.
According to Radar Online, the Food Network stars, who are in the process of divorcing their respective spouses, were "holding hands" under the table while having dinner at Emilio's Ballato in New York City. A source claimed De Laurentiis, 44, and Flay, 50, "even carved their initials in a secret place on the wall."
However, De Laurentiis' rep tells E! News exclusively that the report is "not true."
So what happened?
"Back in December, Giada had dinner at Bellato with her agent. Bobby Flay was also having dinner with some friends and dropped by Giada's table to say hi," her rep tells E! News. "They did not have dinner, nor was there any touching going on."
Flay's rep confirms what De Laurentiis's rep said.
De Laurentiis announced in December that she was separating from Todd Thompson, whom she married in 2003 and is the father of her 7-year-old daughter, Jade. Flay filed for divorce from his wife of 10 years, Stephanie March, in April.
In January, Star magazine falsely accused De Laurentiis of having extramarital relations with Flay, Matt Lauer and John Mayer. The Giada at Home star, who is also a correspondent for NBC's Today, denied each of the allegations.
"My long-time friendships with my co-workers...are exactly that—long-time friendships. There has never been a romantic relationship with these two men."
Flay, meanwhile, was accused of cheating on his actress wife and having three-year affair with his 28-year-old assistant. The restaurateur's rep denied the allegations, which surfaced in The New York Post's Page Six, telling E! News, "We will continue to refrain from responding to the continued efforts by certain parties to spread rumors and innuendo. This specific allegation was in a letter sent from one attorney in this case to the other. It was written and then leaked specifically to try to insert this story into the press, and that's unfortunate. Even more unfortunate is that all of this is being done in order to renegotiate a pre-nuptial agreement that was agreed to over a decade ago and never amended during the marriage."
