Sam Smith will not be silenced!

As the Grammy winner continues to rest from his recent vocal surgery, the "Stay With Me" singer is still finding a way to celebrate the one-year anniversary of his debut album with fans online.

In honor of the milestone, Smith took to Twitter Tuesday and asked fans to stream In the Lonely Hour online. As an added bonus, he would share new details about his heartfelt songwriting process.

"Thank you to everyone who has supported my music over the past year," he shared on Twitter. "You've made my dreams come true. I love you all xx #HappyBirthdayITLH"

While Smith commented on each song individually, fans may be immediately interested to hear what he says about "Stay With Me."

As you can imagine, the smash-hit single connected with him in more ways than one.

"This song I think speaks for itself. It has changed my universe," he wrote. "The day I wrote this song I reacted in a way I never react. I completely broke down in tears when listening back to the vocals in the chorus."

And while "Leave Your Lover" remains his absolute "favorite" from the album, there's plenty of love to go around. Need proof? Just read what he has to say about "I'm Not the Only One."

"This song is a song that now widens my inspiration as a songwriter," he wrote. "This isn't about me, it's me writing this as someone watching a relationship and empathising. Writing this with one of my best friends @JimmyNapes was magical. Couldn't give up on those chords."

Looking ahead, Smith has no doubts that he will make a full recovery and be able to perform again.

"The doctors say I will be back in 6-8 weeks," he said at the time of his surgery." I cannot wait to sing for you all soon."
