Yes, it's summertime right now, but Bill Murray has us wanting Christmas SO BADLY right now. Why? Because A Very Murray Christmas is a thing that's happening on Netflix this holiday season.
Murray, Sofia Coppola and Mitch Glazer teamed up for the special, which is described as "an homage to the classic variety show." Murray plays himself as he worries no one will be on his TV show thanks to a terrible snowstorm in New York City. "Through luck and perseverance, guests arrive at the Carlyle hotel to help him; dancing and singing in holiday spirit," Netflix said in a release.
So who's showing up? George Clooney, Paul Shaffer, Amy Poehler, Julie White, Dimitri Dimitrov, Michael Cera, Chris Rock, David Johansen, Maya Rudolph, Jason Schwartzman, Jenny Lewis, Phoenix, Frederic Moulin, Rashida Jones, Miley Cyrus, and more. Phew. What a cast!
Coppola is directing the special. She also serves as executive producer alongside Glazer, Roman Coppola and Tony Hernandez.
