There's no question that the past few months have been tough on Bobby Brown.

Between caring for his daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown to experiencing disagreements with Nick Gordon, 2015 hasn't exactly been easy.

But over the weekend, the "Every Little Step" singer tried to put any drama aside and simply celebrate his upcoming baby with wife Alicia Etheredge-Brown. Joined by close family and friends, the couple hosted a co-ed shower at their Southern California home.

"love……." Bobby captioned on Instagram while posing with his family. "My Lady and Baby." Alicia added, "#best day #beautiful #Blessed #family #Thankfulness #baby shower."

And for those curious, the expectant mama's eye-catching tattoo of a tree and the sun is only a henna. Plus, the couple reportedly wants the sex of their baby to be a surprise until he or she arrives this summer.

While the upcoming arrival of a newborn baby is a big reason to smile, Bobbi Kristina's condition continues to weigh heavily on Bobby and the family.

Earlier this month, a judge appointed both Bobby and Patricia Houston co-guardians of Bobbi Kristina's estate, the majority of which comprises the assets left to her by mom Whitney Houston

Bobbi Kristina has been under round-the-clock care since Jan. 31, when she was found face-down in the bathtub of the condo she shared with her boyfriend. She was transferred from Emory University Hospital to an Atlanta rehabilitation facility in March and remains unresponsive.

"We go to the hospital every day and pray," Cissy Houston shared with Entertainment Tonight. "And, you know, I talk to [Bobbi Kristina] because she can still hear, and I rub her hand and whatnot."

She added, "She's not gone yet, but you know, whatever the Lord decides, I'm ready for her."
