Tom Bergeron may have ended his 14-year run as the host of America's Funniest Home Videos this weekend, but the funny isn't over yet!

It was announced on tonight's Dancing with the Stars finale that last season's champion Alfonso Ribeiro will be taking over the long-running ABC series, and it's pretty much a perfect choice.

Right after he performed with fellow season 19 contestant Sadie Robertson, the Fresh Prince of Bel Air star was joined on stage by Bergeron to make the announcement, and Carlton looked nothing short of thrilled.

"You have given me so much love and support in doing this," he said to Bergeron. "I'm so proud."

Bergeron had some hilarious advice for the new curator of America's greatest groin hits and bad trips, of course.

"I only have one thing to say—and you already know this from having to dance with Witney—wear a cup!"

"Do you need a snack?" Erin Andrews joked, of course referring to the priceless moment from last season when his partner Witney Carson accidentally kneed Alfonso right in the groin, and while he was on the ground in pain, she thought maybe a snack would make things better.

"After receiving hundreds of inquiries, stacks of video submissions and a very close audition race, one smile, one funny and sincere delivery become our standout favorite—Alfonso Ribeiro," said Vin Di Bona, executive producer. "We look forward to Alfonso leading AFV into the next generation of family friendly viewership."

The show enters its 26th season later this year, continuing its reign as ABC's longest-running primetime entertainment show, and will air on Sunday nights at 7 p.m.
