As we mentioned when we gave you that Jonas juice yesterday, the 30th Anniversary Carousel of Hope Ball took place last weekend in Bev Hills. Benefits the Barbara Davis Center for Childhood Diabetes. You know, Brandon's rich-ass grandma, where the bucks the Firecrotcher so freely spends come from. Denzel Washington, whose crotch has, at times, been questioned regarding its whereabouts, and his wife, Pauletta, were the night's honorees. Hoards of other celebs such as a glam and healthy Nicole Richie and our adorable Jonas bros showed. Why, exactly?

"I actually got diagnosed with diabetes three years ago," 'fessed cutey Nick, "so to be here tonight is truly an honor because one of the first things I heard about when I got diagnosed was this event." Too fab.

As we chatted with the Jonai, we couldn't help but be quite charmed. They're damn adorable. And actually, we must confess we didn't understand the fuss, really, till we met the good-enough-to-munch boys in person. Asked how the hell they managed to stay so grounded, 'cause let's face it, they pretty much have more global power than anyone else in the Biz right now. "I think you have to take it day by day and really realize, at any moment, this could go away," surmised newly single Nick.

Babe-dumper Joe added, "We went through a point where things weren't working so well for us...when we were without a record label, kind of sitting there and still playing music. So we know what it's like. We really appreciate how it is now." Modest and humble? OK. We'll bite. Certainly more than the I'm-still-a-struggling-artist crap Madonna's currently trying to peddle to us. Oh, yeah, uh-huh.
