Gardening with a glamorous twist.

Perhaps that's what Lindsay Lohan was thinking Saturday morning when she traveled to the TLC Women's Shelter in New York City to perform a few more hours of her community service.

Wearing a little black dress that revealed part of her purple bra, the 28-year-old couldn't help but get a little dirty while she cut tree branches and planted flowers.

"Gardening #TLC women's shelter," she captioned on Instagram. "#Habibti"

In her fashion defense, she opted for a pair of black sneakers to complete her look for the laborious morning. Hey, she could have chosen open-toe shoes.

On May 7, the actress' attorney Shawn Holley appeared in a Los Angeles court to face Judge Mark Young who was disappointed that Lohan had only completed roughly nine of her 125 hours of court-mandated community service. The service stems from the Mean Girls alumna's traffic crash in 2012.

With further investigation, E! News was able to find out some of the original duties she faced while working. Some tasks included "reorganizing and posting photos on CSV Facebook page" along with mailing out business cards. CSV Positive Futures is the youth-volunteer non-profit the actress was working with while in London.

Based on her most recent work that also included trips to a children's center, Lohan may finally be ready to fulfill her responsibilities once and for all.

"Lindsay has shown and will continue to show a deep commitment to helping children," her rep recently shared with E! News. "[She] is committed to satisfying the requirements of the court."
