It's official!

After being relatively MIA for quite some time, Janet Jackson has announced some huge news! The singer tweeted a video at midnight early Saturday morning (or late Friday for the West Coast), but what could have started as a simple acknowledgment of her birthday (by the way, happy birthday, Janet!) quickly turned into a present for her fans! The video showed footage of the inside of a studio, but then her voice chimes in a voice over.

"I promised you'd hear it from my lips, and now you will," she says in the narration. "This year: new music, new world tour, a new movement."

Did you hear that?! Janet is going on a new world tour and releasing new music! No idea what her "new movement" could be about, but we're definitely intrigued. This might be the best way to usher in a birthday, that's for sure.

She had been living such a low-key life since marrying billionaire Wissam Al Mana in 2012, that fans started making mock-up missing posters for the "All for You" singer. Although they started as a harmless joke/prank, Janet caught wind of the posters and called them "too funny, too sweet" on Twitter. But her acknowledgment only made fans beg harder for new music from the 49-year-old singer.

"Seriously, Janet, where the hell are you? We NEED you back. We miss you. Your fans miss you. The MUSIC INDUSTRY NEEDS YOU. Come back and show these young whippersnappers how it's done!" the poster read. "We're not asking. We're BEGGING!"

The poster was retweeted more than 300 times, and other fans are also anxiously awaiting the crooner's comeback. "I'm also craving Janet Jackson's return," posted another fan.

Days later, Jackson wrote her first Twitter post of 2015. "Letting go doesn't mean you stop," she posted.

You got your wish, fans! Janet is back and bringing a heck of a lot with her!
