If you haven't noticed by now, we're pretty much obsessed with Pitch Perfect and its sequel (which hits theatres today!). Who wouldn't be? They sing covers of songs but without any instruments…it's all from their mouths.

But with as much hype and fanfare that surrounds the sequel, we hope to see a matured sense of style from the Barden Bellas this time around. Gone should be the days of heavy, emo eyeliner and edgy earring spikes—that's freshman year; "this s--t is real life."

OK, we'll stop with the movie quotes, but let's proceed with all the style and beauty inspiration we hope to see in the follow-up film.

Updated Uniforms
Let's be real: The Barden Bellas uniform looks more like a flight attendant costume. Though we reserve a special spot in our hearts for those navy vests, we'd love to see new, modernized uniforms in good, ol' Barden blues. Perhaps a mini-dress with an A-line skirt a la Dolce & Gabbana? Or an oversized pantsuit for a really powerful statement? Even a sweet, simple frock—like this Gucci fall 2015 piece—would be an upgrade.

Bold Lashes
The Bellas need to be stage-worthy in an instant, and nothing does the job better than voluminous lashes. While in the first movie, the cast is more doe-eyed, in the sequel, we expect to see them bright eyed with fake lashes and tons of mascara. After speaking with the film's lead makeup artist Melanie Hughes-Weaver, we know the ladies wore double lashes to open up their peepers and intensify the eye colors.

Colored Eyeliner
Again, we saw some moody makeup in the first film, especially in the form of black-lined eyes. But now that the Bellas are champions, we're hoping the Dark Ages are over. Instead, colored eyeliner—a fun and vibrant trend seen on the Emperor 1688 spring 2015 runway—should liven things up a bit.

Braided 'Dos
OK—you caught us; we already know a braided Mohawk look is featured in the sequel, courtesy of the flim's lead hair designer, Cheryl Marks. But we want to see a myriad of cool braid creations, like this edgy braided bun from the Bibhu Mohapatra spring 2015 runway. Whether sweet and innocent or modern and edgy, the right plaits can get you from a morning class to after-hour drinks, without too much fuss.

Killer Accessories
Many of us have experienced a dark period in our youth, as did our lead in the first movie. Although earring spikes and plugs are unquestionably cool, we want to see the PP2 cast rock accessories that are a bit more refined yet modern. Bellas, say hello to the ear cuff, the red carpet trend for fashion forward celebs everywhere.
