To find this week's leaders in chic, we had to look no further than the South of France: The ladies in Cannes are simply killing it, which is why our roundup is an ode to, well, them.

First, we have to note that our jaws are still unhinged from the plunging pink Emanuel Ungaro frock that Miranda Kerr stepped out in on May 14 for the Magnum black and pink ice cream launch party. She paired her slit-to-there (and cut-to-there) gown with nude Giuseppe Zanotti sandals and a glittery Oroton clutch, although all eyes were on, well, you know.

Naomi Watts gave us another reason for pause when she hit the 2015 Cannes Film Festival red carpet in a dove-gray Elie Saab Couture gown featuring a breathtaking feather skirt (all the better for her sons to cuddle on).

Meanwhile, Lupita Nyong'o made twirling a red carpet thing when she spun in a "grasshopper green" Gucci confection while attending the premiere of La Tête Haute. The frock's most stunning aspect for us, however, was the lilac and pink flower-adorned neckline, which we were more than happy to see in motion.

This next pick should be no surprise, since Charlize Theron is a consummate showstopper: The actress took to the carpet in a sunny yellow Dior gown featuring a structured bodice. At her side that night? Partner Sean Penn, who looked quite dapper next to his blond bombshell ladylove.

And finally, Emma Stone had two amazing looks in France today (really, it was hard to choose). Ultimately, we have to give it to the fits-like-a-glove Dior confection that she wore to the premiere of Irrational Man, which featured a white lace overlay and floor-sweeping train. Très beau.
