World-class snowboarder and former Dancing With the Stars runner-up Amy Purdy has announced her engagement to longtime boyfriend Daniel Gale. The madly-in-love duo first met in 2002 and took their relationship to the next level Thursday, making her exciting news official via Twitter and Instagram.
"He asked and I said 'yes!' The moment was perfect even though the ring is still being made! Until it's done I have a sweet, from the heart, one that he hand made on the beach today. #engaged #love #flamencobeach," the 35-year-old motivational speaker posted.
Lying on the beach in Puerto Rico, the pair is all smiles while sitting shoulder to shoulder on the sandy shore. The blond beauty wows in her summer attire, looking chic in her wide-brimmed hat and some dark shades.
The twosome traveled to their exotic destination on a little plane and took a peek at the oldest settlement and historic colonial section of San Juan. Amy and Daniel went island hopping, sipped mojitos and took a tour of a rustic castle while on their romantic vacation.
Amy has paved her way to stardom as a Paralympic bronze medalist also known for her appearance on season 18 of Dancing with the Stars alongside partner Derek Hughes. The blissful couple also made a television debut together on season 21 of The Amazing Race.
