Fans will have to wait and see the outcome of Germany's Next Topmodel, as everyone at the SAP Arena had to be evacuated after it had received a bomb threat.

NBC News reports police received a phone call reporting the threat from an anonymous female who called around 9 p.m. local time Thursday. Authorities immediately cancelled the live transmission of the show's finale and its 8,500 attendees were evacuated. Police found a "suspicious bag" but concluded that it was a non-threat and identified the owner some hours later. A rep for the show tells E! News that it turned out be a "false alarm" and nobody was harmed.

Police brought in sniffer dogs until 3 a.m. local time, but no other items were found and police gave an all-clear for the arena. Host Heidi Klum posted a picture of herself with the contestants on Twitter and tweeted a kind message to the show's fans in German that has been translated as, "Dear GNT-fans, the evening did unfortunately not end the way I wished for! Safety comes first!"

The show's official Facebook page also posted about the sudden cancellation, writing a message to fans in German (translated into English), "It's true, the finale had to be canceled. We apologize and will update you as soon as we can say something concrete."

The investigation is still ongoing.

Broadcaster ProSieben said in a statement obtained by NBC News that it was "very relieved that nothing bad happened" and that organizers would determine Friday how to choose a winner for the competition. Four women remained in the show's 10th season, which is based on Tyra BanksAmerica's Next Top Model.
