We've got good news and bad news, Reign fans.

After all the pain Mary (Adelaide Kane) has been through, stemming from her horrifying rape earlier in the season, viewers can expect to see her return "to the warrior queen that we've seen from the very beginning," showrunner Laurie McCarthy previews of the CW drama's finale, airing tonight. Awesome, right?

Not so awesome? McCarthy warns that fans should definitely be most worried about Mary and Francis' (Toby Regbo) relationship heading into "Burn," even if the young royals are finally finding their way back to each other.

Now that Mary is "ready to feel passion and is back to her "warrior queen" ways (pause for necessary "as Queen!" chant here), McCarthy says it's "going to bring her back to Francis in a way that is incredibly heartbreaking and fulfilling." Uh-oh!

So does that mean the prophecy of Francis' death will be fulfilled in the finale? "You'll be reintroduced to an old friend, I would say, but I don't want to say there's a big death," McCarthy says when asked if there's a major death. (Hmm…could that old friend's name rhyme with Schomastradmus?)

Regardless of Francis' fate and the prophecy, there are two characters fans should definitely be worried about in the finale.

"There are huge changes afoot for Catherine," McCarthy warns of Francis' mother, while also highlighting Conde (Sean Teale) as someone in peril because of his relationship with Mary. "Catherine would say from the moment they slept together, he needed to die," she says. "I wouldn't necessarily go so far as to say that, but he definitely made some very risky choices that he will suffer for."

And one of those risky choices includes marrying Mary's cousin/nemesis Queen Elizabeth via a proxy, and while the much-discussed-but-never-before-seen other queen, played by Rachel Skarsten, will finally make her debut in tonight's finale.

"We're really meeting her very briefly at the end of this episode, but we're introducing her for a reason," McCarthy previews, "which is that she's going to be a character next season and her court will be a character as well. We're going to absolutely expand our canvas to include the court of England."

And here's what you can expect to see go down with each of Mary's ladies in the finale:

Greer: Expect Mary's lady-in-waiting turned madame extraordinaire to make a major return to court in the finale. But not for Leith. "Greer will take some pretty courageous moves that will actually not bring her closer to Leith, but closer to Mary, so she'll be returning to court in a way that…she really gets to be a hero."

Lola: The twisted love triangle between Lola, Catherine and Narcisse is SO not over as he "wants out of that relationship with Catherine right now…we'll see him try to break free in a way that creates some very high stakes for Catherine and we will see him circle back to Lola in a way that will feel very promising for season three."

Kenna: Expect to see major"aftermath" from Kenna's new love interest General Renaude turning out to be a traitor. "We're going to see her rather desperate and make a very bold, very Kenna-ish move."

Reign's finale airs tonight at 9 p.m. on the CW.
