Queen Elizabeth II is so happy to have Princess Charlotte in the royal family!

And like most grandparents (and great-grandparents, in her case), the queen can't help but gush over her tiny new relative. At a Buckingham Palace garden party Tuesday, she said, per the Mirror, how much she "loved" having another girl in the family.

Susan Pollock, 84, was one of 8,000 people invited to the get-together. "I told her I'm so happy at the arrival of another baby," she recalled. "I said, 'Congratulations.'"

"She [Queen Elizabeth II] said, 'Yes, we love to have another girl,'" Pollock recalled. "She smiled at that. She was very relaxed and enjoying the event."

Another invitee, Carole Weston from Essex, got the chance to extend her well-wishes, too. As she told the Mirror, "I said [to the Queen] congratulations on your new granddaughter—she corrected me and said, 'No, great-granddaughter.'"

Indeed, Queen Elizabeth II is correct (is the queen ever not?!)—little Charlotte is in fact her fifth great-grandchild. The remaining four are Charlotte's big brother, Prince George, as well as her daughter Princess Ann's three grandchildren: Isla Phillips and Savannah Phillips (their father is Peter Phillips—Ann's son and Elizabeth's grandson), and Mia Grace Tindall (whose mother is Zara Phillips—Ann's daughter and Elizabeth's granddaughter).

Great-grandparents aren't supposed to have favorites, but Queen Elizabeth II might have a little extra fondness for Prince William and Kate Middleton's newborn. After all, Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana of Cambridge (whew!) is named in part after the queen!
