It sounds like Miley Cyrus has been working on some new music!
The 22-year-old singer took to Instagram yesterday to share a sneak peek of what appears to be one of her new songs. "New jammmmmmmmmmmm," the pop star captioned the teaser clip.
In the short video, Miley performs the ballad live in front of a microphone. Miley's signature raspy vocals boom against haunting, slow-paced music. The new ballad definitely sounds very personal and emotional.
The clip got Miley's Instagram fans into a frenzy. "Sounds awesome," one commented. Another wrote "NEW SONG?????? OMGGG" while another fan shared "omg omg omg" with a bunch of heart emojis and smiley faces.
The new song comes over a year and a half since Miley released her last album Bangerz.
Miley has been pretty busy lately. In addition to all of her red carpet appearances, she also recently started her Happy Hippie foundation, which fights youth homelessness and promotes pro-LGBT causes.
She also made a bold revelation about her sexual identity the other week. The "We Can't Stop" crooner revealed she's had past relationship that weren't "straight, heterosexual" ones.
She later clarified the statement during a Facebook chat saying, "I never want to label myself! I am ready to love anyone that loves me for who I am! I am open."
