Anna Kendrick realizes neither youth nor a speedy metabolism will last forever, so as she swiftly approaches her 30th birthday, she's been trying to eat well and exercise.

The Pitch Perfect 2 star, who doesn't actually turn the big 3-0 until August, told Ellen DeGeneres she already felt like she bid adieu to her twenties when she turned 29, and ever since then, she's "been trying to be more healthy, and ugh, it's the worst."

"It's awful," she reiterated. "It's the worst, and the worst part is I feel so much better. That's the worst part. Is that, like, it works."

Anna admitted to Ellen that before her get-fit-for-30 mentality set in, she wasn't exactly a picture of health. Now, though, she's "trying to work out and eat some vegetables," she said. "And it's awful. I hate it! But I feel like, 'Oh, this is how healthy people feel.' Yeah, alright, I get the appeal."

"I was really hoping I would just do it as an experiment," she said. "And I would feel exactly the same, and I could go back to eating Taco Bell whenever I wanted." (Ahem, Ms. Kendrick, have you checked out their Fresco menu? You get incredible Taco Bell tastes for under 9 grams of fat...Just sayin'...)

In any case, though, Anna's concerned about what's going into her bod as well as what she's asking of it. This involves some "new and sexy" fitness routines, which as you'll see in the clip above, Anna has a bit of a tough time describing! So what's her favorite form of cardio—yoga, Pilates, "walking vigorously," or something else? Watch the Ellen DeGeneres Show clip above to find out!
