Before the world fell in love with Amal Clooney, the British beauty was a little-known lawyer with a roster of high-profile clients.
But now, after nine months of being married to George Clooney, the 37-year-old barrister is all too aware that all eyes are on her anytime she's out and about—and it's safe to say she's stepped up to the challenge, particularly in the style department.
"She's stunning and has a great sense of style—there's no stylist or anything, she just comes out like that and she shows up and she looks stunning," the 54-year-old A-lister gushed of his gorgeous wife, whom he wed in Venice in September 2014.
Not only did George compliment Mrs. Clooney's style, but he also praised his wife for always looking polished while juggling an extensive work load.
"And she does it while she's got 11 cases going—literally," the Oscar winner, who was promoting his new film Tomorrowland, continued. "So she's an amazing woman."
Clooney, who kicked off the interview by admitting he was "hungover" following his 54th birthday celebration on Wednesday, also added that he is "very interested in Amal."
"I think that's as it should be," he said (agreed!).
Amal was by her man's side when he rang in the big 5-4 earlier this week with a private bash at his home in Studio City, Calif. A number of close celebrity pals were present for the party, including BFFs Grant Heslov, Rande Gerber and Cindy Crawford.
The couple continued the celebration the following day when they joined friends for dinner at sushi restaurant Asanebo in Studio City, Calif.
Clooney's birthday comes just two days after the lovebirds made their debut Met Gala appearance in NYC, where Amal did not disappoint in a crimson-hued Maison Margiela Couture gown by John Galliano while Clooney also looked handsome in a traditional black Armani tuxedo.
