A day after the star-studded annual event, the 42-year-old actress posted on her Instagram page a photo of her and ex Chris Martin's 10-year-old daughter, Apple, wearing a sky blue onesie and mint monster slippers.
"This was the red carpet in my house last night," she wrote.
Paltrow and Martin, 38, also share a 9-year-old son, Moses. The actress filed for divorce from Martin in April, more than a year after they announced their split, or "conscious uncoupling."
Paltrow rarely posts photos of her kids on social media. When she does, as seen in Apple's recent pic, the actress opts to keep their faces partially hidden.
At the 2015 Met Gala, celebs such as Beyoncé and Rihanna turned heads with risqué and eclectic looks on the red carpet.
Paltrow had last attended the fashion event, held at the New York City Metropolitan Museum of Art, in 2013 (see Paltrow's 2013 Met Gala look!). That year, she famously told USA Today, "I'm never going again. It was so un-fun. It was boiling. It was too crowded. I did not enjoy it at all." She expressed her dissatisfaction with the Met Ball again in an interview on Australia's The Kyle and Jackie O Show.
She later praised the Met Gala in a post on her Goop website. Paltrow did not attend the 2014 event, as she was out of town. She stepped out in a casual look
