As much as it pains us to say this, we all knew this day was coming: the day Fox would cancel The Mindy Project, one of our favorite TV shows of all-time. We attempted to hold them off, even writing a story about why people were idiots from not watching Mindy Kaling's rom-com-sitcom, but you know what they say about idiots: They are idiots.
Still, we have faith (and have been praying to our lords and saviors Beyonce AND Blake Lively, natch) that Mindy, which is produced by NBC Universal, will be scooped up by another network like Hulu, which sources confirm is in talks with Mindy for a multi-season pick up!
Mul. Ti. Sea. Sons. On. Hulu. A k a, you can watch whenever you want!
Such sweet, sweet music to any Mindy fan's ears!
So, clearly, we must put everything we have into the universe to make this happen.

Dear Fine and Dapper Hulu Executives (Did we mention you look nice today?): Here are are 11 solid, indisputable reasons that picking up The Mindy Project would be the smartest thing anyone has ever done in the history of everything. (And we know you are smart.)
1. It's the Best Comedy and Love Story on TV
The Mindy Project is, hands down, the best comedy on TV. Don't argue, it's rude. And it was just as good at the rom as it was at the com, and there probably won't be another show like it on TV again.
When we asked Mindy what she hoped the show's legacy would be, she said, "For people to watch it and be like, 'This was a great love story over the course of how ever many seasons for the first time between two realistic people falling in love, that didn't shy away from stuff that was real that was a on network…which I don't know that we're going to see that many more of those kind of shows on networks."
2. The Guest Stars
Oh, the guest stars. Let's face it, The Mindy Project was an embarrassment of riches when it came to cameos. Just take a look at this sampling: Stephen Colbert, Rhea Perlman, James Franco, Seth Rogen, Timothy Olyphant, Laura Dern, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, Shonda Rhimes, Laverne Cox, Max Greenfield, Seth Meyers, Bill Hader and Ken Burns. Oh, and Common, Kevin Smith and Moby all made surprise appearances. OK, we are exhausted, we need a minute. But you get the idea.
3. The Clothes
Mindy Lahiri is one of the most stylish women on TV, effortlessly mixing patterns, prints and colors in a way that even Carrie Bradshaw would stop to admire. Costume designer Salvador Perez and Kaling have formed a close bond, and it shows on and off-screen.
"Mindy has made me dare to match prints and patterns, so my real-life looks have completely changed because of this character," Mindy told us. "It's been a really fun evolution."
4. The Best Couple on TV
They shouldn't have worked. She loves love. He is a love cynic. He thought she was annoying. She thought he was cranky. She loves Real Housewives. He loves JAG reruns. But against all odds, Danny and Mindy are, as Sleepless in Seattle simply puts it, MAGIC. The show actually got BETTER when they got together, using their differences as the basis for comedy and, at the same time, honest insight into real relationship issues.
5. Mindy's Take on Body Confidence on TV Is So Important
We dare you not to exclaim "YAS KWEEN!" after reading this quote from Mindy's interview on E! News:
"Something that people say about me all the time and my character is how confident we are. I would love to live in a time where that's the assumption of women and of actresses. Unfortunately, that isn't. It's because actresses on TV, we're such a small percentage of the way we look, or such a small percentage of the way women actually look like, whereas men can look like a lot of different things. I think it's important on the show for her to not have her weight be a constant issue for why she's confident. It's usually her work or being a good person."

8. That Cliffhanger
OK, we can't have Danny jumping on a plane and heading to India, knocking on Mindy's parents door to ask for their blessing can't be the last scene we ever get. It just can't!
"This is a big cliffhanger. And I know that some series, they don't know when they're going to come back, so they on purpose make it so that it could wrap up the series very nicely," Mindy told us of choosing to end on a cliffhanger. "But that's just not my personality. I take big swings and big risks all the time."
9. We Need Payoff For This Line From Danny in the Pilot
"Is this the kinda guy that's going to get grossed out when you give birth, or is he gonna dry your forehead and tell you you look beautiful while all that disgusting stuff is coming out of you?"
10. The Best Throwaway Jokes on TV
Tamra calling Mindy "Glob" still remains one of our favorite things ever, and Beverly is just a walking-talking-throwaway-line in human form. And Jeremy's constant references to his deeply troubled British childhood? (He's good at beer pong because he had to throw ice cubes in daddy's scotch glass from afar.) ACES. The only issue we've ever had with the show is that sometimes it makes us laugh so hard that we can't hear another joke over the sound of our laughter.
"There's a lot of jokes!" Ike Barinholtz, who plays the lovably wacky and former felon of a nurse Morgan (and also served as a writer on the show), told us. "The show gets better when you watch it a second time."
11. Mindy Lahiri Is the TV Heroine We Need
Mindy Lahiri uses wine glasses as cereal bowls. She knows the lyrics to every Katy Perry song. She's banned from the top of the Empire State Building because of her obsession with rom-coms. But she's also fiercely loyal. And she's a confident woman who asks for what she wants and doesn't apologize for it. And she's an amazing, smart doctor. She's messy, but she owns the mess and cleans up after herself. While we need more characters like her on TV, we also just still need HER.
