Ruuude.

We had just gotten to the point in the season when we didn't want to say goodbye to anyone, let alone two couples, but alas that's what we had to do tonight as the competition whittled down to the Top 4.

Unfortunately, lovebirds Robert Herjavec and Kym Johnson were eliminated first. The Shark Tank mogul said he was honored to be on the show. Despite both saying "I love you" in behind-the-scenes rehearsal footage, Robert wouldn't cop to the romance when pressured by host Tom Bergeron.

Chris Soules and Witney Carson were the second eliminated couple. The former Bachelor star held back tears during his interview with Tom and Erin Andrews and said his time on the show was "life changing." "This has been an incredible experience," Chris said. "I'm just thankful to have been a part of...I'm forever grateful."

Fans take note: Riker Lynch and Allison Holker were in the bottom as well.

Some real talk time: This Dance Center bit is tired. Sorry to everybody involved, but it's not working.

Last night's performance show was quite an eventful one. The judges gave out their first perfect scores for three different performances, including pretty much everything Rumer Willis and Val Chmerkovskiy did.

The injured Derek Hough returned to the dance floor to dance with Nastia Liukin and Sasha Farber in the trio performance and it was one of our favorite routines ever performed on the show, because Derek Hough is clearly an unstoppable genius. Last night Robert and Kym added some pretty strong fuel to the fire that is rumors of their relationship by locking lips during their routine, but they claimed it was unplanned.

As for the return to the two-night format, tonight's results show felt just like old times in the best way. We'd also like to know if Dancing with the Stars has an age requirement, because if 14 year-old Willow Shields (who we still miss, by the way) can be a contestant, we think 12 year-old Maddie Ziegler could be an excellent pro in a year or two.

Do you think the right couples went home? Are you happy that Dancing with the Stars has gone back to two nights a week? Sound off in the comments!
