We came, we saw and, well, unhinged our jaws (...you did see Beyoncé, right?).

The 2015 Met Gala has come and gone, and along with it a good few retrospectives. But the only recap we think you really need is the one where you see those gorgeous gowns in action from every angle. We've put together a crop of GIFs that show some of our favorite dresses from last night and, yes—the back views are quite...compelling.

1. Queen Bey: It's the naked dress of all naked dresses really, and a last-to-walk-the-red-carpet look that pretty much crushed the Met Gala. All hail.

2. Rihanna: The star's stunning yellow-and-gold Guo Pei robes made for a heart-stopping red carpet moment.

"It's a miracle how it happened actually," she told André Leon Talley on the Met Gala red carpet. "I saw this beautiful piece on the Internet. I was looking through, you know, researching Chinese couture. It's made by Guo Pei, she's a Chinese couturier...It's handmade by one Chinese woman. It took two years to make this."

3. Kim Kardashian: Mrs. West made a jaw-dropping appearance in a custom Roberto Cavalli dress that hugged her just about, oh, everywhere a nude effect gown should hug.

4. Fan Bingbing: The Chinese actress made the best red carpet mesh of modern and traditional in this Chris by Christopher Bu confection featuring a glittering, gold-sequined dress and floor-sweeping, floral-print cape.

5. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley: The supermodel turned heads (and raised some brows) in a custom nude Atelier Versace that pretty much, well, quenched our imaginations.
