Mike Huckabee just announced Tuesday morning that he would be once again seeking the Republican nomination for president of the United States in 2016 and no sooner did supporters cheer his speech in Hope, Ark., than Chuck Norris—the myth, the man—announce his endorsement.
"I still believe Mike Huckabee is the most qualified," the Walker, Texas Ranger star told The New York Times' First Draft blog in a statement. "He has the moral clarity and experience to lead our great country forward."
Norris of course pounded the campaign-trail pavement for Huckabee in 2008, when the former governor of Arkansas ran the first time.
"Chuck Norris doesn't endorse, he tells American how it's going to be," the GOP candidate said in 2008, playing along with the whole Chuck-Norris-is-more-than-human thing.
And we look forward to the first Norris-Huckabee spot! (Moreover, doesn't Huckabee need a VP...?)
But while Norris thinks Huck is the guy, some aren't so convinced. Better Call Saul star Michael McKean tweeted, for instance, "Huckabee brings to the presidential race all the gravitas of a punkin toss, plus Jesus & Ted Nugent. #Laughingstock2016."

Huckabee joins Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Carly Fiorina, Rand Paul, Ben Carson and, presumably, Jeb Bush in the increasingly crowded GOP field.
So far, Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders have thrown their hats in on the Democratic side.
