Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed made their first post-wedding red carpet appearance as husband and wife yesterday.
The 36-year-old Vampire Diaries actor and his gorgeous 26-year-old bride were all smiles Monday while attending an Azzaro cologne event in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Reed looked beautiful in a black knit dress while her hunky hubby looked hot in a matching black suit. This couple knows how to coordinate, no?!
The Twilight actress also shared a few Instagram pics from Rio with a long heartfelt message to her Brazilian fans.
"Dear Brasil, You are stunning. Your country and the people who call it home. Thank you for having us," Reed wrote. "I'm so amazed, so humbled, so flattered by your outpour of passion and love, especially last night. Thank you for encouraging me to come out last night, I was all the way down the hallway and I could literally feel the vibrations coming through the walls. You gave me the opportunity to see each and every one of your beautiful faces. I was so overwhelmed by all of the happiness and excitement you were experiencing in that exact moment, and I'm so grateful I got to experience it alongside you. Your country is so beautiful, you're so beautiful and coming here, seeing all of the love, feeling all of the energy, has really inspired me."
The lovebirds' Brazilian appearance comes just days after they enjoyed a romantic honeymoon in Tulum, Mexico, together. The duo were even photographed getting their PDA on during a dip in the ocean.
Reed also posted a lovey-dovey Instagram of them with the caption, "Salty...sandy...sticky...sunburned. The best. I love this human. My human."
Reed and Somerhalder tied the knot on Sunday, Apr. 26, during a ceremony in Santa Monica, Calif. They were surrounded by family and friends.
