Getty Images; SIPA USALast night our country bore witness to something truly legendary. A veritable showdown of divas happened in our midst and we were lucky enough to be bystanders.
At Monday evening's Met Gala two of music's fiercest came together to try and prove who was top dog. In one corner we have Rihanna. Lady Rih took over the red carpet, literally, with her more-giant-than-giant yellow gown. It was actually impossible not to turn your head and gawk at the spectacle that was this dress/flying carpet. If you were unlucky enough to be standing in Rihanna's vicinity, no doubt you were blown off your feet by the sheer force of fabulousness—or you were actually hit by some of the excess fabric.
There was a period of time in which Rihanna was the undeniable winner of the evening. Everyone was just so taken aback that their brains could not comprehend any information other than Rih's utter Queen-ness.
But then Beyoncé showed up and the world changed. Forever.
In true Bey fashion, she was extremely fashionably late, but once she arrived the earth shook with the vibrations of one million jaws dropping. Girl brought it.
Clearly, there's no way we were going to let these two appearances go by without a little bit of a deep dive into the world of competition, so we decided to let the public have it out over which diva really won the Met Ball.

But it seems like the Internet gave the slightest edge to Rihanna. After all, it's hard to compete with a dress that looks like both a cooking omelette and pizza.
