Care to join us in feasting your eyes on fashion royalty? Well, then look no further than Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen's Met Gala looks.

The 28-year-old twin sisters wowed at the annual fete last night in NYC, where the notable fashion designers looked absolutely gorgeous in coordinating all-black ensembles. Mary-Kate wore an elegant robe-inspired gown for fashion's biggest night while Ashley sported a delicate chiffon dress which featured tiered ruffles, a plunging neckline and a dramatic train.

Safe to say they've cemented their A-list status in the fashion community...

While the stylish sisters wore similar ensembles, they both opted for very different hairstyles—Mary-Kate wearing her locks in simple three strand brands while Ashley rocked a supercool half-up look with bright gold pins. To complete their look, both ladies wore neutral makeup and matte lips while highlighting their well-defined cheek bones.

This year marks the tenth time the Olsen Twins have attended the Met Gala—they have gone every consecutive year since 2005—with the exception of 2010.

Harper's Bazaar also went behind the scenes with the siblings while the two got glam for Fashion Prom, working with longtime hairstylist Mark Townsend and makeup artist Ana Marie.

"On Saturday, the girls texted me pictures of what they were wearing," Townsend told the publication. "When I work with them, I defer to their impeccable sense of style. I just asked, 'What are you thinking?' Mary-Kate wrote back one word. 'Braids.'"

Ashley, meanwhile, wanted her hair half up with gold accessories.

"We loved that the pins were on display," Townsend explained. "They're functional, but they're also adornment."

As for makeup?

"You can't reinvent the wheel with the Olsen's," Marie said. "I just enhanced their healthy complexions."
