That's what Miley Cyrus was thinking Monday night when she stepped onto the 2015 Met Gala red carpet with a brand-new style.

Just a few hours before the special event, the "Party in the U.S.A." singer was sharing Instagrams with her signature blond hairstyle. But once cameras started to click in New York, it was time to debut a fresh look.

While working a revealing Alexander Wang gown that showed off some serious skin, Cyrus showcased her slicked back blue and green hair. She completed her look with an Ana Khouri ear cuff.

Something fans may have been looking for Monday night was the former Disney Channel star's pink hair underneath her armpits. Yes, the 22-year-old was really going through a no-shave period over there for a little bit.

In fact, it was just this past Friday when the singer showed off her "#dirtyhippie" style.

Ultimately, her long sleeves and black gown prevented such a revealing. Can't we agree, though? Maybe not the best idea for the Met Gala.
