The 2015 Met Gala red carpet has barely begun and it's already shaping up to be a monumental occasion. Bold-name celebrities, the hottest models and absolutely insane fashion abound. But perhaps the most shocking development at this year's event is what isn't going to be there: Selfies.

That's right, none other than Anna Wintour herself has straight-up banned personal picture-taking. According to Page Six, all of the evening's guests received the following message along with their arrival information: "The use of phones for photography and social media will not be permitted inside the gala."

Ouch, indeed. Especially if you're Kim Kardashian

NEWS: Why Kristen Stewart is skipping the Met Ball

The selfie-loving lady is attending tonight (and she's wearing the first dress designed by Peter Dundas for Roberto Cavalli). Getting to hob-knob with Vogue-ettes and fashion's finest personalities is kind of a huge deal, so it's only natural that one would want to document such an evening with tons of self-portraits. So what is a gal to do when Miss Anna Wintour robs you of your one true source of pleasure in life?!

That's where we come in.

We decided to put all of our brain power to use to come up with a few things that Kim K. can do tonight instead of taking selfies. It was a hard job, but somebody's got to do it.

1. Pose for photographs taken by the professional camera-wielders.

2. Have actual face-to-face contact with the other humans in her company.

3. Start a chorus round "Michael (Row the Boat Ashore)" with her tablemates.

4. Take seconds of everything during dinner.

5. Take notes during the evening's presentation, to read back to North West as a bedtime story.

6. Hit the dessert table. Hard.

7. Start a cha-cha line through the ballroom.

8. Remain at elbow's length of Anna Wintour at all times, in an effort to prove to her that she is both a necessary addition to the Met Ball guest list and completely able to subsist without selfies.

9. Find Justin Bieber and give him a speech about choosing positive role models.

10. Find Diane Kruger and Joshua Jackson and get some relationship tips.

11. Talk to Grace Coddington about her cats.

12. Spy on Kendall Jenner from afar and make sure she's not going anywhere near the open bar.

13. Hit the open bar herself. Hard.

14. Convince Sarah Jessica Parker to let her try on that headdress.

15. Learn to draw (quickly) and set up a caricature selfie station.
