Donuts for all!

Looks like The Simpsons is never going away, which is just fine with us.

Fox just renewed the animated sitcom for not just one more season, but two, bringing it up to an insane 28 seasons.

The animated comedy premiered in 1990 and has since won 31 Emmy awards. With a 27th and 28th season, the show will reach a whopping 625 episodes, even further solidifying its status as the longest-running scripted series in primetime.

Homer Simpson said it best with this statement: "I've outlasted Letterman, Jon Stewart, and McDreamy, because I have something they don't: a costly 200-donut-a-day addiction."

The Simpsons is yet another ambitious renewal for Fox. The network gave its smash hit Empire an early second season renewal after just two episodes, and ordered a second season of The Last Man on Earth after only a few weeks. Unfortunately, there's still no word on The Mindy Project, but we've got our fingers crossed.
