Is it possible to get avocado drunk? Chipotle fans are about to find out.

We're not really sure what we've done to deserve this momentous occasion, but the guacamole gods have blessed us with perhaps the best gift possible: The Chipotle guacamole recipe just went public.

The fast-casual chain decided to lift their reign of avocado tyranny today, posting the recipe on the company's blog for all the world to see. And yes, you'll get hungry just reading it.

Chipotle also made a cheeky nod to their incredibly archaic pricing structure in the blog post. They wrote: "We know that you know that guac is extra, but have you ever thought about what makes it so delicious? Well, it starts with sourcing the best whole ingredients possible, and ends with a quick mash in our restaurant. In fact, it's so easy, we're going to show you how to do it."

This release comes at the end of a big few weeks for the burrito chain. First they announced that carnitas would be coming back to the menu, then they launched a delivery service and then they pledged to eliminate GMOs from their ingredients. Oh and who could forget that Hillary Clinton campaign stop fiasco?

We're not sure where all of this is coming from, but let us say this: Never stop being you, Chipotle. Check out the full recipe below.

Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe Haas avocados
  • 2 tsp lime juice
  • 2 tbsp cilantro (chopped)
  • 1/4 cup red onion (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 jalapeño, including seeds (finely chopped)
  • 1/4 tsp kosher salt

Instructions:

1. Choose the right avocado. It should feel squishy yet firm (like the palm of your hand), and be a nice dark green color on the inside.

2. Cut the avocado in half and the remove the pit (carefully!)

3. Scoop the avocados and place in a medium bowl.

4. Toss and coat with lime juice.

5. Add the salt and using a fork or potato masher, mash until a smooth consistency is achieved.

6. Fold in the remaining ingredients and mix well.

7. Taste the guacamole (over and over) and adjust seasoning if necessary.
