The Republican Party has no shortage of presidential candidates!

On Monday, former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina announced her candidacy. She's not the only one, though—Dr. Ben Carson, a retired neurosurgeon, confirmed that he will be announcing his candidacy this morning at a rally in Detroit.

In addition to Fiorina and Carson, Senators Ted Cruz, Rand Paul and Marco Rubio have all announced they'll be seeing the 2016 GOP nomination. Per the New York Times, Mike Huckabee is set to announce his candidacy Tuesday.

Fiorina, the second woman setting her sights on the White House for 2016, got in a little dig at her potential Democratic rival when she announced her candidacy on ABC's Good Morning America. "Like Hillary Clinton, I too have travelled hundreds of thousands of miles around the globe," she said. "But unlike her, I have actually accomplished something. Mrs. Clinton, flying is an activity, not an accomplishment."

Ouch! So why does Fiorina want your vote? "I think I'm the best person for the job because I understand how the economy actually works," she said. "I understand the world; who's in it."

Dr. Carson, who has been outspoken in his criticism of current POTUS Barack Obama, shares a similar viewpoint. "I see myself as a member of 'we the people,'" he said earlier this year, per NBC News. "I see myself as a logical American who has common sense...and I think that's going to resonate with a lot of American, regardless of their political party."

2016's going to be a doozy.
