AKM-GSIIreland Baldwin recently left a California treatment center, which she had checked into in order to deal with "emotional trauma," and is continuing her recovery as an outpatient, E! News has learned.
She also recently debuted a new look—the 19-year-old daughter of Alec Baldwin and ex-wife Kim Basinger, who was previously a platinum blonde, had her hair dyed brown more than a week ago.
Ireland had on April 13 announced on Twitter that she had checked herself into the SOBA Recovery Center in Malibu, California "for two weeks to just get away for a little bit."
"Ireland is now living in Malibu and still participating in programs offered through the multi-treatment facility she voluntarily entered," a source told E! News on Sunday.
"I'm not much a party cat but I am here [to] deal with some emotional trauma and getting the intensive therapy I needed in order to recover," she had said on April 13. "Someday I'll feel ready to share my story openly without feeling the way I do. Right now I just needed a breather. I needed a chance to work on myself and gather all the tools."
"I need to overcome everything that I had been through and rid myself of all the pain I locked away in unreachable places," she added.
The now-brunette was spotted last week shopping in Malibu, sporting her new hair color. She also posted photos of her look on her Instagram page.
