Less than a week after Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed said "I Do" at a romantic sunset ceremony in Santa Monica, Calif., the newlyweds are now enjoying some much needed R&R in paradise.
On Saturday afternoon, the Twilight actress gave fans a taste of what she was experiencing in Mexico while lounging on the beach.
Wearing a white tank-top and matching pants, the new bride smiled so bright as her man wrapped his arms around her and planted a kiss on the cheek. "Salty…sandy…sticky…sunburned. The best," she captioned on Instagram. "I love this human. My human."
The couple has since packed their bags and are now currently in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Vampire Diaries stars including Phoebe Tonkin and Paul Wesley have also joined the pair who arrived Friday night.
The couple's getaway comes immediately after the two exchanged vows in front of family and close friends including Vampire Diaries star Kat Graham. On Friday night, Somerhalder's co-star posted images from the wedding's photo booth that featured a few familiar faces.
What you didn't see was Reed's gorgeous white lace gown she donned for the special day. The ivory lace design was found at Claire Pettibone's Los Angeles salon. And if you loved the look, we have some inside details.
The bride's style of choice was the "Elizabeth," which is described as an Ecru beaded Chantilly lace mermaid gown. Reed added sheer lace sleeves and a modified boat neck to complete the look.
For now, however, the look Reed is wearing is complete happiness and love as she enjoys some quality time with her hubby!
