Life can get pretty crazy, especially when you have a baboon living in your neighborhood.

After living at mom Kris Jenner's house for more than a year, Kim Kardashian, Kanye West and daughter North West all moved into their own place in a different neighborhood. But what they came to realize after they moved into their new home was that their neighbor wasn't exactly normal.

They're living near an animal preservation site chock full of animals, including a Rafiki-looking baboon! Kim Instagrammed her first run-in with the monkey, captioning the pic, "Casual stroll thru Hidden Hills and this is what I see....Rafiki?"

While appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Thursday to promote her new book, Selfish, Kim explained how she managed to see such an exotic animal and how she was so excited to show her daughter.

"He lives in the neighborhood, but I don't know where all the animals are," Kim told host Jimmy Kimmel.

"You might want to find out where all the animals are," Kimmel warned.

"I mean he said they'll show up for birthday parties and you can rent them and stuff, so I got his card," she added.

But even though it was a "little scary" to see the baboon leashed and walking around Hidden Hills, Calif., it didn't stop the Keeping Up With the Kardashian star from showing her daughter! Because Kim had to wake up her daughter so early, the tiny fashionista didn't have time to get glam.

"In the morning she has like this crazy afro, and I just like took her outside in her pajamas with her crazy hair," she dished. "She was half-asleep to see this baboon."

But all of the people—Kanye and his friends ended up joining the early-morning festivities—might have been a little much for the animal because Kim said it started to hide from everyone! Kimmel, however, couldn't help but harp on the oddness of the situation.

"Sometimes you think you have a strange life I bet and then a baboon enters it," he quipped.
