Instagram19 Kids and Counting star Derick Dillard is the first to admit that as a brand new parent, he's still got a lot to learn. According to wife Jill Duggar, though, he's doing a fantastic job as a husband and as a father!
Baby Israel David Dillard's mom Instagrammed a new photo of her hubby and 3-week-old son, writing, "I'm forever in [LOVE] with you! You're the best hubby and papa! I'm so blessed!"
"Thank you for loving God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength," she added. "I'm your greatest admirer!"
In the same post, Jill shared some advice for other Christian couples: "Ladies, we must continue to uplift our men in prayer," she wrote. "They need our support and respect!"
She had some tips for the fellas, too. "Men, be the servant leader your wife will admire! She needs to hear how much you love her...& not just weekly...let her know it every day!"
Don't think, though, that this newlywed and new mom thinks she and Derick have it all figured out. "We are far from perfect," Jill wrote, "but my sweet Derick goes above and beyond 'to love and to cherish' me! Thank you babe for all you do!"
Sweet, right? Well the feeling is mutual! Derick gushed about Jill in a heartfelt DilllardFamily.com blog post earlier this week, calling his wife "a champion."
He also Instagrammed a adorable shot of mom and baby sharing a sweet cuddle, captioning it simply, "My two favorite people in the world. #ilovemyfamily"
